“In the beginning, we were editing these scenes with no temp VFX because we hadn’t received any elements yet. So we were just imagining what the eye would be doing when we cut to it. But once we started seeing some examples of the fantastic work that Benuts was going to deliver on these characters, it changed some of the edits. Once we could understand the humor that we could get out of what Eliza’s eye was expressing, we were able to improve the scenes by leaning into that.”
